Plant-Based Protein
Many of us see this headline A LOT. Plant-based protein is center stage, and there have been a lot of formulations to achieve protein-rich, plant-based products. As this has happened, the consumer has spoken, and the verdict is: it has to taste good.
Think yummy nutritional bars for kids and adults using tree nut butters and inclusions. Imagine creamy, tree nut spreads featuring sweet, custom flavors and simple, easy-to-read ingredients. And custom flavored inclusions (like honey-roast tree nut pieces) as a topper that adds flavor and protein.
RTD beverages
Plant-based, creamy cold brew, protein shakes, functional, plant-based smoothies. These hot items - and so many more - are being formulated with tree nut butter bases like cashew, macadamia, and almond (as well as hazelnut and others). Innovators are keying in on roast level and particle size as it lends itself to flavor, suspension and mouthfeel in the finished product.
Snacks
We're seeing a movement towards better for you snacks and mixes that spotlight satisfying texture and crunch, natural ingredients, and a strong nutrient profile.
